Abigail's first trip to see Santa

abby did great with santa - no crying. but, she didn't smile either. she just sort of stared at him and then back at me. i think she wondered why i just dropped her in the lap of some weirdo and walked away.

Abigail is getting HUGE!

Brian weighed Abby today.....in a very scientific way. :) (Weighed himself & then weighed again holding her.) We're estimating her to be up to 13 lbs! She's about to graduate out of the size 1 diapers! (Dang it - I just bought a new case today, but I can take them back.) This pic was taken a week or two ago, but check out the thunder thighs. She has come a long way from the days of having to fold the preemie diapers down b/c they were too big on her tiny body.

Visit with Nana Gail

Abby had a great time visiting with her Nana Gail! She learned to sing - Nana would sing to her and Abby would "sing" back.....which actually just sounded like little coos of "oooohhh". So adorable!

Abby's 2 month checkup

Abigail went for her 2 month checkup this past Thursday. She's a healthy little girl! She weighed in at 10 lb 2 oz and measured 21 3/4" long. This put her in the 50th percentile for weight and 40th percentil for length. This was a drastic improvement since she was under the 5th percentile in both at her 2 week checkup.

Unfortunately, Abby had to have vaccinations. Bless her sweet nurse for being as quick as possible! She only cried a little - and Mom & Dad held back the tears. She was pretty fussy the rest of the day, but woke up Friday morning in a happy mood - ready to play!

I guess I'll try this out

Everyone has a blog except me.....so, I figured I'd try this out and use it as a way to share info on what Brian, Abigail, and I are up to. (Oh - and Cleo, of course.) I'll do my best to update often.

New today - Abby and I went to early voting. There was a long line, but the cute little grannies that were running the show had that place going like a well-oiled machine (and by granny I mean elderly - like great grandma age - not like Abby's super-young Grandmas!). They said they got through something like 100-150 people every 20-30 minutes! We were there only 25 minutes and it would have been shorter if I could have avoided 10 grannies needing to "ooh" and "aah" at Abby snoozing in the baby sling. (This picture isn't from today, but this is Abby having a nice nap in the sling....I think we were going to Target.)
